Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder

It's my extreme honor to be hosting Jasinda Wilder's Falling Into You Blog Tour! I'd been looking forward to reading this one since I was first made aware of it. I had no doubt that I would love it given I've loved ALL of Jasinda's previous books, but what I didn't expect was to be utterly moved so deeply by this book that Falling Into You has to be my favorite book of 2013! Considering the anticipated releases that's come out thus far this year I realize that's saying a lot but once you read this book you may very well agree with me.

I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way.
Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.

Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.
************************* My review of Falling Into You ************************
BEYOND 5 stars I mean WAY WAY WAY beyond!! So beautifully written and so emotionally powerful it will leave you thinking of it for days, yes I mean DAYS, after you finish reading it. When Jasinda offered an ARC of Falling Into You ~ in typical Kim fashion I was so................. The story begins we are introduced to Nell and her BFF, Kyle, they literally have known one another since birth. They have shared everything together and eventually Nell learns that Kyle's feelings for are more than friendly when she share's her excitement of being asked on her first date by Kyle's best buddy. At sixteen years of age she was finally able to go out on a "real" date and she was brimming with excitement in typical teenage fashion she was.................. We watch Kyle & Nell's relationship evolves and deepens. They are each other's forever, one true love, and ultimate soul mate. We experience their first......................................................... and each of theirs first with one another ....................... Fast forward to age 18 and they've graduated from High School and they each have respective colleges they are looking forward to going to but their parents have agreed they can go up to Kyle's parents cabin together and all alone. They are beyond excited to get away and spend time together. This part of the book totally endeared to me to Kyle and his love for Nell ~ oh, how he loved her with everything he had in him. What's supposed to be the most memory turns into ~ the most heartrending scene I've read in a book in such a very long time. It was at this part I completely....................................... The shock, pain, and absolute gut wrenching point of the book brought me to my knees. It was everything I didn't want to happen. It was tragic and so very sad but so poignantly written I felt that what I read truly happened ~ that I was there when it happened as I listened to Kyle repeatedly tell Nell he loved her. The selfish act he performed further provide just how much he loved her. Poor sweet Nell, the depth of her sorrow and guilt ~ oh the guilt ~ placing the blame on herself will make you want to grab her and.................................... She's literally a shell of the person she once was and she comes face to face with Kyle's older brother Colton. The proverbial "black sheep" of the family. Nell doesn't know why but she feels an instant connection to him one she certainly doesn't feel is appropriate and again the guilt she feels at that is right there on the pages that you feel what she's feeling. Colton's piercing blue eyes, his captivating voice and his guitar playing would've had me on my knees worshipping him immediately ~ well perhaps not so immediate but I certainly wouldn't of been able to look him in the eyes without getting lost. The book fast forwards and the story switches to Colton's POV. This was brilliant on Jasinda's part ~ He's in NYC busking just sitting there............................................................ when who does he see standing behind the small crowd that gathered? well none other than Nell herself. She's captivating, beautiful and holding a guitar case. She joins him and they play together and when she starts singing he's blown away by this angel's voice. He also sees that she hasn't moved on without Kyle. The pain is there in her eyes and he knows he shouldn't get involved but again that magnetic connection they have draws him to her. He wants to spend time with her, but doesn't think he is good enough for her. Now ladies I have to tell you from this point on I will walk you through the remainder of this beautiful book with the emotions I felt. Colton saves Nell from the Neanderthal he saw her with when she walked into his good friends bar where he was playing. Yes he totally....... Not wanting to be alone he takes her back to his place and things get. but both Colton & Nelly-baby (his sweet name for her) have ghosts to contend with and not just the most obvious one, Kyle. No Colton opens up to Nell. He describes how he left home immediately after barely graduating high school~ he jumped a bus to NYC with no money, barely any food and he did what he had to do to survive on the streets. Colton came from an affluent family and he learned first hand how to survive all alone, no money, no food, no family, and no friends until he was taken into his "new family." What Colton did to survive and what he ultimately lost again made me thinking ................. I was beginning to think I needed to buy stock in Kleenex because this book had me in tears more time than not. Oh sure there were times I and then when the sexy Colton shows his dominant side in the "bedroom" and him and Nell finally finish was briefly started. Well HOT STEAMY SEXY throw me down and have your way with me is an understatement. Ladies this was...................................................... it was off the charts but I really didn't expect anything less given the chemistry between the two. Oh yes those two had chemistry BIG TIME and the way Jasinda wrote the sex scenes had me fanning myself. Heck if it wasn't 3 a.m. my hubby wouldn't have been..................... I watched their relationship develop. I watched the first time they performed on stage together ~ they were a huge hit. I watched their day to day interactions and I wasn't even close to being done and I thought man can this get any better? I also had a little feeling that this was going to .................................................... The story had switched back to Nell's POV before then and when she find something out she did the last thing I thought she would do................................................ I read that part and ...................................... but Colton his a take charge kind of guy and there was no way he was going to let her go and he does the first thing I expected him to do! He hopped on a ..................................................... straight to her folks house! Barging in demanding to know where Nell was and when he found her well darn it I was........................ I was so ........................................................... No, No, No I thought as I flicked through the pages on my Kindle. Please NO ~ Why of Why and when Colton drops a little bomb about his past I was ......................................................... How much more grief can two people suffer? Well, Colton & Nell proved that they did have the strength to pick up the pieces and move forward. By the end of this book I was............................... I was so happy ~ no two people out there have ever deserved the ending that got!!! Jasinda this book was pure ............................ you Jasinda! Falling Into You was a deeply emotional read for me. It touched me in ways that I never thought it would for a fiction read! I'm not kidding I was so engrossed in the story that I lost myself in it and I did have to remind myself that I was not part of the story, but isn't that what makes up some of the most amazing reads? A story that draws you in and you have no clue how deeply you will be drawn into it until you finish and you look around and realize no that didn't just happen to you but it sure the heck felt like it did. A story where I lost track of time and that I was so sad to see it had ended. You will not be able to put this one down. To even give it a rating of 5 stars would be an insult this book FAR exceeds 5 stars! This has become my TOP read of 2013~ yes it topped the most recent release that everyone had been waiting ages for to come out. If Goodreads could allow me to add another 5 stars at the top it's easily 10 stars for me. It had EVERYTHING I want out of a book ~ first love, sheer gut wrenching heartbreak, angst, forgiveness in different forms, over the top oh I would love to have some of that in between the sheet scenes, smiles, laughter and most of all a chance for two people getting a second chance at love and perhaps just perhaps finding their true soul mate regardless what they may had thought before. This is a book that should clearly be put at your TBR list now ~ No wait this is a book that you need to BUY NOW, START NOW, and forget whatever the outside "real" world demands of you and read it. I promise you won't be able to put this one down. I promise it's so brilliantly and beautifully written and in such a way that you will forget your reading a book ~ you will be reading the stories of two broken, damaged people finding the strength to believe in and let themselves love again.
