I'm so excited to bring you my review of J.B. McGee's Conspiring! I seriously LOVED this book and I can't believe when it ended how I was feeling. Seriously mouth dropping, finger nail biting, and GIVE ME FORGIVEN (next book in the THIS series due out April 2013) NOW.  Conspiring is book 2.5 in the This Series following Mending! This Novella showed me a side of J.B. I had been waiting for and BOY can the girl right smexy!!!

Okay, I have to say this HOLY hotness!!! I was provided an ARC of Conspiring in exchange for an honest review! I have to say I was pretty excited about this one cause I heard it got "steamy" Oh I was looking forward to some "steamy"! What I wasn't expecting was to actually end up liking, well kind of but okay I do, Veronica & Ian! I literally was...... Conspiring is again told in two different POV BUT it's all PRESENT! Oh we get to see how Veronica and Bradley first met and boy oh boy, if I was the one that met Bradley that night at Joe's bar I would've done this.... We get the first meeting and then BAM Bradley leaves for the wedding in Charleston! Veronica appears to have some feeling's for Mr. Playboy that weren't reciprocated! She tried to finagle an invite, "date", to the wedding but the ever so honest Bradley flat out shot her down! Veronica was......................................................... So out Veronica goes to Joe's one Saturday night with her BFF! She's had a few drinks, getting her groove on and who does she meet? Ian YES THAT FREAKING IAN... Talk about shocking but hey Ian is Mr. Hot Pants ;) So we experience Veronica & Ian meeting, leaving and well.......... The next morning we get to see a part of both characters that we don't see in Mending. Veronica bless her heart kinda sorta admitting she doesn't want to be alone, but does she realize WHO she wants to be with? and Ian showing that he can be caring! Bradley obviously returns and we know who he met at the wedding but did he afford Veronica the permanent goodbye she at least derserved? Um, read the book ;) Conspiring is a Novella so it's a quick, hot, sexy read with a little ~ cough ~ cough Conspiring :) I can't give you the whole book but I can give you a fast trip into my mind! I start by doing this..............  that turns into....................... oh a little of this................ some of this ................ then a little more this............ and then this....................... I have to tell you I can't WAIT to see where this all ends up! Who ends up with who? Is it supposed to be that way? Will they learn the error of their ways even if they "kid" themselve's into believing it was for a good cause, sheeshhh!!! I'm hoping Forgiven will answer some of these questions for me but I don't think ALL of them will be answered until later in the series! JB, girl I'm mighty, mighty, mighty impressed! You've been hiding that smexy writing from us ;) This one is 5 +++ stars! Oh I've seen a side to JB's writing now that I'm certainly going to be expecting NOTHING less from here on out! Perfect amount of description, opportunity to try and redeem those who don't appear to be redeemable and enough at the end to leave the reader salivating for more! Congratulations J.B. by far MY FAVORITE book in the This Series thus far!!!!

Well I finally finished Broken and I have to tell you that Gabby is BROKEN!! Damn, that girl has been through it but is it more of her own making? She was "in-love" with her high-school boyfriend, Ian, her first boyfriend and the boy she crushed on for years! What Ian & Lindsay, Gabby's so call BFF, did would be enough to crush anyone? But this has literally BROKE Gabby to pieces - hence the name of the book? :) Gabby attends a wedding with her sister Sam and that's where she first lays eyes on Bradley - mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Bradley the quintessential "ladies" man, beyond beautiful and looking to "hook-up".. Bradley brings out.....
that Gabby has been able to push back. You see she doesn't want to feel anything. Her philosophy, wrong as I think it is, is if you don't feel anything but is that true, Gabby? Nope, I don't think so! This book is the first in the series and really just is the tip of the iceberg so to speak. You get the opportunity to meet both Gabby & Bradley! I say meet because it's apparent that both have secrets, a past that is painful, and will they give it a go? Well, I for one am looking forward to Mending the second book by JB McGee! I hope the questions I have are answered and we really get to know both Gabby & Bradley in the second book! This one is 4 star read for me! I think good start for a new author with a potential there for this series to really take off! Which direction I have no idea? But, I would love to see some serious angst and action between the sheets ;)

Gabby has finally started to break down the walls she has worked so hard to build up from all of the heartache she has felt through the years, just as ghosts from Bradley's past begin to show themselves. Will Gabby find healthy ways to cope with the new heartache she experiences or will she go back to running from the people who pose a risk of hurting her?

Mending, yes the long awaited sequel to Broken, the second book in JB's This series! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one! So when I had this baby in my hands I was.......................................... Where would Gabby & Bradley go from Broken? I knew they agreed to a "exclusive friendship" but being I've never been in one I couldn't wait to see what one of those looked like! Hmmm, just as I expected I mean come on Gabby Girl how could you NOT want something more with Bradley Banks! True to JB's style the book is told in alternating POV which I love and opened with what I'll the "present"! Yep, it was so good to open the book with Gabby & Bradley................................... I was ready to see where this went and BAM there was, Veronica, oh I was stunned! Who is Veronica you ask? Well let me tell you she was Bradley's ex- not girlfiend so let's go with a more conservative description "hook-up"! Yes, there she stands all beautiful and blonde and I literally started doing this.................................... Oh this was NOT what I expected! Right out the gates the curve ball is thrown! Poor Gabby, this little scene had me groaning for her! I remember Gabby from Broken and I feared what this could do to her! Bradley was far from thrilled the interuption and honestly I can't blame the man. I literally felt Gabby's heart breaking as she.......... I found I enjoyed that the story jumps between "past" & "present" you actually get to see Bradley & Gabby's relationship blossom before your eyes while intertwining the "present" scenes! It's the only way the story could be told so that the reader understood the emotions of all parties and furthermore where both Gabby & Bradley end up, ah but I'm not telling you where they end up! Now the shocker to me in this WHOLE book was the sudden appearance of Ian! Of all people, he was the LAST person I expected but interestingly one I asked the author back when I had interviewed her back in November! Of course, no secrets were told to me so I literally did this when Gabby opened up the door to her apartment to Ian.................. Mind racing and eyes gobbling up the pages I literally begged Gabby NOT to let that weasel back in her life! He gutted her when she was younger and set her up for all the trust issues she experienced when it came to her relationship with Bradley! He just couldn't stay in the picture! I just couldn't have him there! But does it matter what I want? Does he stay in the picture? This should sound redudant coming from me but read the book! There is a lot that had transpired between Gabby & Bradley since he showed up at her house three months after his cousin's wedding in Broken. Their relationship started slowly and a foundation was built. It was composed of open communication, trust and love! Yes, the three things a relationship REQUIRES! Kudos JB for pointing out what a real life relationship has to have to work. Part of the "past" featured Sam, Gabby's sister in case you forget! Sam will always be the protective BIG sister and an integral part of Gabby's life. One thing I'm so looking forward to as the series continues is Bradley's matchmaking attempts between his buddy Ryan and Sam! I can't wait to see if they have the "chemistry" it takes to build a relationship! But I would so love to see that! Hey, a love story within a love story sounds good to me and has me ....................................................... Mending gives you a taste of Veronica & Bradley's history and how they met back in Mr. Banks playboy days! The book also gives a you little history about his parents and some things start to make sense about Bradley. The book has many different layers of emotions that are throughly described there is NO WAY you can't experience what both Bradley & Gabby went through! I can only SHOW them to you the only way I know how so without further adieu let's go. The book immediately had me.................................................................... and if that wasn't enough I swung immediately to this.................. I swear I would've questionned my own sanity if I did this without the adie of a book! There was a point in the book where I................. and wanted to so do this to Veronica ...............  but I couldn't and Ian, don't get me started on him, but I most certianly would've done this when I opened the door if I was Gabby.................................. yes sir, I would've done that in a heartbeat. There was a small part where I was............................................................ Oh the wondering I wanted to get just RUN! But by the end of the book this was me.......................................................... What can I say I was happy! Don't assume my happiness requires an HEA but I don't need that out of the books I read! I saw tremendous growth between Broken and Mending! I was so happy that I enjoyed Gabby in this book and where she ended up! I even liked Bradley and didn't question the connection between the two characters! I felt linked to the two characters! I felt their emotions and I loved every single second of it! Mending is a straight 5 star read for me! I read the book TWICE yes folks you heard me TWICE! I read it awhile ago and then right before I read JB's next book Conspiring! Now I'm chomping at the bit to read Forgiven which will continue the journey!!! Hurry up April Hurry up April! I highly recommend you read Mending as soon as possible because it's become quite apparent to me that each book is getting better and better! I couldn't walk about from This Series even if you paid me! JB I'm so looking forward to more :) I think I might stalking your Author page for glimpses of Forgiven :)
