Destined to Change Blog Tour

by Lisa M. Harley

Destiny…it’s really an interesting thought isn’t it…destiny.

Loralei Harper’s destiny was determined before her birth. It was very simple. She was expected to graduate from high school, marry Declan Sharp, and have two kids. She would stay at home with them, while her husband worked on the family farm. But the funny thing about destiny is…it can change in the blink of an eye. Now Loralei has to figure out what to do when everything changes.

Declan Sharp, a sweet country boy, grew up with Loralei. Their parents couldn’t have planned their relationship any better. Loralei was the love of his life and their future was bright, but sometimes life gets in the way of your plans.

Jaxon Daniels, a pierced, tattooed, badass with a gentle soul, just wanted to get out of the city and relax in the country for a little while. The last thing he was looking for was right in front of him. With skeletons in his closet, will he be able to hold on to the woman he loves, when the past comes out to play?

Cade Walker, a cocky cowboy, never gave love a second thought. Sex? Now that was a different story. After a drunken night, all of that changes when he feels something for Loralei...with his heart. This good ole boy learns that alls fair in love and war.

What happens when all of these lives cross paths? Whose destiny will change and who will get their happily ever after?

I'm very excited to share my review of Destined to Change with you! I've had this book on my Goodreads TBR since December 28, 2012! It was an HONOR to advance read this and to be asked to participate in the blog tour. Be sure to check to enter the giveaway details posted after my review! Enjoy :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I received an ARC of Destined to Change in exchange for an honest review. I had added this one to my TBR on 12/28/12 so I knew it was something that interested me. The questionned remained how interested would I be. Well I'll tell you what I started this book and right out of the gates I was already doing this.................................. Destiny - 1. The events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future 2. The hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate. Ever thought about your Destiny? I'm sure at one point we all have. Of course I expected this book to be about Lorelei's Destiny but to what extent I didn't know until I started reading. Lorelei was pretty sure her destiny was with her childhood friend & high school sweetheart Declan. The handsome star basketball player, son of her parents best friends, and her best friend. She had it all mapped out she was going to marry that boy, tend to the farm and have two children. Life has a funny way of throwing us a curve ball when you least expect it. This is something Lorelei learned at the age of 16 after celebrating her & Declan's birthday's down at the bonfire with her their friends. Oh yes Declan & Lorelei were born on the same date exactly a year apart. They went to the bonfire with their friends to include both of their BFF's Eric & Emma. Yes, it was a night to be remembered ~ in more ways than one. Sometimes when I'm reading a book I get a feel for what's coming down the pike but I have to say with this book I had no clue what would occur nor how that event would change Lorelei's Destiny. Kudos to the author for this! Especially for an author who is about to release her first book! There was part of the book where I was doing this.......... Well 10 years and twins, Sammy & Mags, we see Lorelei in charge of her family's farm. She is going status quo day to day living but not really LIVING and who should enter the picture? Well her tattooed piereced knight in shining armor Jaxon. Jaxon's Uncle Jake works on the Harper's farm and Jaxon has just come out from California to Missouri to make some changes to his life. The first meeting between these two and I just knew that if I was standing in front of Jaxon I would of totally.. Oh yes nothing better than a "hot" bad boy entering the picture and getting his first look at a sweet country girl! I loved Lorelei and with all that this young lady had been through you could tell she was a strong and loving woman. She loved her parents and her children well those babies were her world. The author obviously has experience with living in farm country as the description of the farm was dead on! I never grew up on a farm but all my family live in Missouri and my cousins grew up on a farm where a John Deere tractor was equivalent to a Harley to those boys alas I regressive I'm supposed to be sharing this book! Well Jaxon didn't exactly fit the "mold" in this good ole' small country town. While reading I was picturing townsfolks reaction towards him to be something like this.................................. It was sweet watching Jaxon & Lorelei getting closer and spending more time together both trying not to get too close to the other but failing miserably. Jaxon didn't feel he was good enough for sweet little Lorelei. He has a past and what that past encompasses isn't revealed until much later in the book. I tried to take some stabs at it myself thinking oh it has to be this but when the past is revealed I so thought this......................................................... As much as Jaxon hates to reveal his past to Lorelei he knew he needed to but the funny thing about or past it has it's way of revealing itself. Unfortunately for Jaxon it did so before he ever got a chance to explain the situation to Lorelei. Again refer to my reaction above and then think about what Lorelei's must have been. Girl I so would've. Well Lorelei ends up meeting Cade a tall "sexy" cowboy with a southern drawl that just melts her in a heartbeat. Oh yes, this was getting good really good! This book was setting itself up for heartbreak galore and I knew emotions would be coming out with all parties involved. You know what my favorite part is this book was told from the different characters POV! LOVE THAT! Well folks the ride JUST began and so did the fun! So I think I should share what this ride entailed, don't you? Well there was some of this............................................ Heck whom I kidding there was a ALOT of that ;) But don't get too comfortable folks cause there are parts of this book where you will want to................................................................ There were times where I would've done this if I was Loralei........... When the going got good, boy did it and it will have you............... But when everything wrapped up I did this............................ I really enjoyed Lisa's first book Dstined to Change! It was a fun sweet read but don't think it's all sweet ;) This was a 4.5-5 star read for me. There were definitely alot of 5 star parts and just enough emotions mixed in there that I read this one quickly! I literally didn't put it down once I started! I loved the reference to "cowboy" which you won't understand until you read it! I did laugh at that part! Sammy & Mags were adorable and I got a kick out of them they really made me laugh. I recommend you mark your calendar for the release date and snatch it up that first date! You won't be sorry! If this isn't already on your TBR mark it now! I'll be anticipating more books from Lisa in the future and can't wait to see if she incorporates characters from this one into another book! I'd love to see that!!!!! So Lisa KUDOS to you what a wonderful first book I enjoyed it immensely and I sincerely thank you for allowing me the opportunity to advance read Destined to Change!
