My eyes are glistening with tears as I scrawl my signature at the bottom of the letter, touch my fingers to my lips, press them onto her name and close my journal. I look over to my left where Kyle is softly snoring, sleeping soundly. I mouth the words “I love you” to him, touch his back lightly, put my journal in my night table drawer and turn out the soft light by my bedside. I curl my body into his, tuck my head into his chest and hold on tight.

I love this man with all that I am and I love the father that he is going to be.

My heart is full of promise and hope.

Lily of the Valley totally .....


I read Lily's POV in Forget Me Not which I completely ADORED but what Sarah did with Jack's POV was amazing! You certainly don't have to read Forget Me Not first you can read Lily of the Valley beforehand but I recommend that you read Forget Me Not so when you get to Jack's POV you will fully grasp the differences he refers to between him & Lily. Jack is in college & he plays in a band so you know me....
yes I was totally doing that BUT this book is SO far removed from being a "rock star" thing for me! Jack has had the most horrific childhood one that right away had me.....

Jack is deeply depressed given the traumatic event that occurred when he was young. You can literally feel everything he is going through while reading his account! He really doesn't have too many friends expect for his close friend Alaina. They "get" each other given both their childhoods are filled with deeply traumatic events that they will never forget. Jack is down right sexy, a turn your head brooding hot guy that had me wanting to ...

but on the flip side he is closed off. He doesn't feel he deserves anything "good" in his life and he has secrets ~ a lot of them. Some everyone knows some only he himself keeps inside. I can tell you Jack & Lily certainly kicked off their whirlwind of a relationship by jumping straight into....
and let me tell you it's downright HOT! What transpired between the two of them had me ....
and his little surprise for Lily had me ......

and I have to say I was definitely....
Jack uses sex & alcohol to escape the past. Although he knows that it's only a temporary escape. He's very bright young man attending college on a scholarship. College is his way of ......
from where he's from and his past. Jack's demons haunt him so thoroughly that your heart will break for him. After a very short time Lily becomes his everything ~ his ALL and he recognizes how he feels for her even though he hadn't disclosed those feelings to her. Well something happens that left Jack ......

What he went through after this occurred had me totally......
although at the same time I was so......

him on for recognizing he needed to deal with things differently in the past. A past that had me so
 freaking.....

As the book moved on I had times where I was ......
and I was ....

over and over and over! I literally was ....
towards the end of the book but that was nothing compared to the closer to the end of the book when he opens up and I just started...

and ......
and overall I was just ....
Lily of the Valley completely blew me away!!! The author did one helluva job conveying Jack's thoughts I wasn't prepared to be gutted! An emotionally complex read that delves into the an event so horrific as well as depression so deep that Jack doesn't feel he is worthy and hardly can see the good in himself that will leave you reeling. I loved that the author didn't take the easy road with this book. Don't think for a minute that he "magically" healed by the end of the book. I love when an author stays true to a character and Sarah did just that!

I bought this one the minute it came out! I had to get my hands on it ~ A 5 HEARTBREAKING STARS read that has me wanting MORE ~ I want Jack & Lily's story to continue! I want to see where they go from there. For all Jack has been through when you read the way he felt about Lily and what he does for her you will want a Jack of your own! That boy definitely took a piece of my heat with him when I finished reading it!

This is a must grab ASAP and read series!!! Start out with Forget Me Not so you know Lily's background and how she viewed everything and then go on to Jack's story! Grab tissues, vodka, chocolate heck whatever is your comfort vice cause you will need it before you are through with this phenomenal read!

Now for my 5 star review ~ Yes, I experienced each and every emotion depicted in my review ~

 

 

 



I really didn't have any pre-conceived notions going into Four Letters ~ I jumped into with both feet and immediately was ....... Four Letters opens up with Skye & Spencer's story! Skye comes a very well to do family! Her parents marriage was arranged and growing up she saw what that did to the two of them so she made a pact with herself that she would always be in control of her life. She accompanies her father to one of his business dinners and she meets Spencer. Yes, he is smartly dressed in a tux, handsome, and well he had Skye....... then immediately they found a quiet little place and .... they had instant chemistry! Spencer wanted the one thing Skye didn't want to give up ~ CONTROL ~ but only in the bedroom. We watch as their relationship progresses and there was a ton of.... and a few times I just... but overall things were pretty damn great until well until one day where I just was ... This is what I loved about Four Letters is it ends Skye's & Spencer's story with me thinking HUH??? then jumps into Lilly & Asher's story! Lilly is a single schoolteacher. She always dreamed of meeting "Mr. Right" and starting a family. Well her daily visits to a local park become more planned when her eyes landed on Mystery Man! He was extremely hot, to die for body and the type a guy you could.... when his eyes land on you! All those trips to the park pay off when they strike up a conversation and dinner date is planned. Before long they were..... and not too much longer they got a surprise and I was totally..... for Lilly! She was getting what she always wanted out of life! Well, things weren't perfect sometimes I .... at things that went down but then I figured that's just life and work getting in the way but oh boy when she gets that phone call and then something else happens I totally had a .... moment. Okay, at this point I was looking at my Kindle thinking wait a minute Lisa M. Harley what do you mean I turn the page and we are starting Adlee & Tanner's story? She seriously just left me hanging TWICE but then after I had a little... I was cool since I had a good portion of the book left to go! So Adlee sweet, young Adlee who literally has lived in Hell for a good portion of her young life with the worst monster you can think of! She's working the local diner in Missouri when a stranger intervenes on her behalf after some crude comments and inappropriate grabbing occurred. She tried to get him to step back but he was adamant and this was her first interaction with Tanner. Her knight in shining armor. Of course, he is great looking and just appeared to be a country boy. What he did for Adlee had me.... He was so good for her. Tanner lifted her up and helped her in ways most strangers wouldn't. Their relationship was slow building and one that appeared to be built on trust and when they finally...... they knew they loved each other. Adlee felt she had it all. Tanner did so much for her. She was truly starting over with a brand new life that she totally deserved when suddenly ~ you ladies know what I'm doing right? yes suddenly I had a whopper of a .... Seriously, NO FREAKING WAY ~ 3 stories of meeting the "one", some wanting to find him some not and one not looking at all and then the proverbial rug is pulled out from under me. You see I can't tell you what happens from here because I seriously have never read another book like this! I can tell you how I felt and what I did and I started.. Oh my ass was getting ready to find Lisa M. Harley and have a chat with her. She seriously provided me a HUGE..... and a total..... and then since I think I lost a little of my mind I started to.... and then after a ton of ... I was so totally.... Hell yes, I just read a book that literally brought me to my knees! Angst? you got it! Sex? oh yes ladies! Shockers? in multiples! This is a book you have to EXPERIENCE! This is one of those books that there isn't too much I can say or it will spoil it for you! Four Letters was a 5 star read for me! It had me sad, crying, laughing, angry, shocked, stunned, flabbergasted, screaming, cursing, jumping and dancing! It's a story about three couples and three women ultimately finding Mr. Right! Get this one NOW and start reading it! I guarantee you will have a great time reading this one!

~ ABOUT THE AUTHOR ~

 

I grew up in a really small town in Missouri. Very similar to the fictional towns I write about. I moved to the big city right after I graduated. I work full-time and I am mom to a beautiful little girl.

I started writing in October 2012 when a group I am a member of had a prologue contest. I didn't win the contest, but everyone who read my prologue asked for more of my story. I decided I had to finish it and get these characters that were in my head out on paper. During the writing process it became clear that these characters had a lot to say. So I realized my story was really a series:
