This is Elle's first published book and I think it's absolutely Fan~Freaking~Tastic! I will be recommending this one for a very long time! What Happens Tomorrow is an absolutely beautiful story of second chances! There's so many books out there about second chance romances but this one is different given a second chance leads to perhaps meeting your soul mate.... I have to admit this book started off with me....
Brooke suffers an unimaginable loss. Personally, a loss of a magnitude I pray never to suffer. Brooke decided that in order to move forward she had to start over somewhere she doesn't know anyone. This proves to be the BEST thing for her. She finds 2 best friends that truly care about her in Jenna & Tyler. Although, neither are aware of her past. Where she came from. What she had lived through and truly how STRONG of a woman she is. Brooke will have you wanting to .......
as well as .........
cheering her on! Tyler wants to be more than her best friend. Tyler has his own past. One that made my stomach turn. Tyler is the ULTIMATE book boyfriend. A man that wears his heart on his sleeves. He is one of those rare characters these days that's not a player, who wants the whole shebang...a soul-mate, marriage, and babies. SIGH ~ how often do we find a male character who admits that's exactly what he wants. He's realistically gorgeous! I know he is a fictional character but I have to say the author did a fantastic job of not describing AB's of steel, six pack that is so well defined, or went on and on about his personal attributes. No this author DEVELOPED the character by describing his feelings! Oh so refreshing! Is Tyler gorgeous, well heck he sure sounds that way to me. I'm sure I would've........
if I were single and came upon him in my real life but I like to think I have my own personal "Tyler" in my hubby Awww ... sticky sweet :)
When Tyler reveals his "true" feelings to Brooke I really wondered if this is the part where she would.........
far and as fast as she could. Would she dear risk her heart again when she had already lost so much? Brooke had her trepidations about things and her own personal guilt to battle but in addition to tears I had many........
I felt the journey of Tyler & Brooke's relationship was PERFECT. Again the author made sure that it was paced perfectly. There certainly was some.....
But it wasn't something that occurred quickly. I think I would've been completely turned off if they "jumped" into things quickly. It wouldn't have been realistic based on the storyline and the characters personalities. I also have to note that there is a scene in this book that the author described via Tyler's voice in such a way you will be.........
and this was just down by words NOT action. It was absolute PERFECTION! The sex scenes were tastefully done and again NOT what this book was about! This is where I am totally..............
Now there's an "incident" in this book that I was.......
and when things are revealed I was totally...................
There are a couple characters that I wanted to..............
to the moon while praying they NEVER came back. Oh they gave me the creepy crawlies!!! Brooke's best friend, Jenna, is the type of character that has absolutely NO filter and was downright.........
but she also truly loved Brooke! I would LOVE to see a follow-up book about Jenna & Jasper. Jasper just happens to be Jenna's musician boyfriend who is the lead guitarist in a band. The way Jenna described things between those to I'm totally........
for her story! I'm not proud I'm willing to bow down, send treats, deliver coffee heck anything to have THAT book!!!!
What Happens Tomorrow ending was beautiful! I totally loved that this story was told in dual POV's (Tyler & Brooke). I could also ........
the author for the Bonus Scene at the end of the book it wrapped everything I wanted to know up for me and gave me .........
I look forward to when I finish an excellent read!
This was a 5 star emotional read for me. It delivers that punch to the gut, take your breath away crying, no way did THAT just happen moments with a few laughs and by the end had me absolutely giddy!
This is Elle's first published book and I will definitely look forward to more from her. The storyline flowed perfectly where I couldn't put the book down and read it in one sitting. It was beautifully written and the character's emotions were communicated in such a way I felt their pain as well as their joy. As I mentioned before the author took the right amount of time to develop the characters to the point I want to be friends with them. I finished the book and I really did feel like I was leaving some friends behind. I wanted to become embedded in their lives just to follow the rest of their journey.
Highly recommend this heartbreaking emotional read that deals with horrific loss, moving forward with life and a second chance to find, in my opinion, a love that neither Tyler & Brooke had encountered before in their life. Possibly their one true love? Well, that you need to find out for yourself.
I absolutely LOVED that the author also took the time to examine not only how grief affects each person differently; but also what those "left" behind feels for the survivor's. There is a section in this book that beautifully described the feelings of other's (their grief, fears and ultimately their wishes) for what Brooke was going through. Parts of the book absolutely took my breath away and left teary-eyed.
I would like to thank the author for the privilege to advanced read What Happens Tomorrow. I also have purchased this book for myself to re-read in the future ~ which I definitely will!
