It's been my honor and privilege to host Shey Stahl's Waiting for You Blog Tour. I'm a HUGE fan of ALL of Shey's works and strongly encourage ALL of you to read her Racing on The Edge Series if you haven't. It's a series of five books that will have you laughing, sighing, shocked and crying but so well worth it to get to know the Riley family.

 

Now Waiting for You is Shey's latest release and my friends WOW! Simply brilliant. Haven't we been tremendously spoiled with all the great reads that have been published this year? Sometimes you find a story that pulls you in so fast, so deep, so far that you loose track of time while reading it. The story becomes your reality and you are utterly consumed by it. Well, Waiting For You did that to me. The emotional journey of Bailey & Dylan, two people that were once friends but tragedy ripped them apart. Two people that fate continually steers towards another until one of them decides they are going to take control of their on fate. I'd be lying if I wasn't.... while I was reading this one. I became immersed in Bailey & Dylan's lives. Bailey Gray the "good girl" the perfect girl who was mold to perfection by her parents who finally opens her eyes and decides she's had enough and she was going to find out what she wanted in life. Bailey is a beautiful young woman who may not see herself in the same light but her passion bled through the pages and I could see myself being a friend of Bailey's, not like Mercedes's the friend from her "former life" a true friend who would love to do this with her... Dylan Wade the town delinquent. The "bad-boy" who didn't take crap from nobody and lived his life by his on rules. But underneath that gorgeous tattooed body you find a boy one who bleeds the same as you and I and real emotions that are begging to be set free. Dylan invites trouble and rolls with it but the reason behind that trouble will break your heart for the little boy who still hasn't come to terms with the hand life dealt him. He maybe able to play the guitar and belt out the tunes like no ones business but that boy is a force to be reckoned with and will leave you.................................. One summer, two "kids", one trying to find themselves, the other trying to show how much life there is to live and the "lies" that are eating them alive. A road-trip, a mouthed "Come with me" a split second decision to jump in, pack like a fugitive, head south and take the journey of their lives. A journey that will leave you.......... a journey where soul searing true love is found...................... a summer of many firsts, some better than others,.................... a reuniting with family and for us fans of Shey's a reunion with old friends that left me but so very happy! A journey that ultimately leaves to the lies being exposed......... heartrendingly emotional decisions that left me.................... A coming of age story about finding out "who you are" and in the midst of all that finding, perhaps, that one true soul mate, the forever kind of love that had me......................................... If you haven't picked up Shey's Waiting for You I encourage you to grab it, read it, take this journey that I've taken. A story that will have you laughing, angry, deeply saddened and leaving you wanting so much more. You will not forget the depths of pain Dylan lived with or the deep love he had for Bailey and Bailey you will love watching her journey of self-discovery and the strength she had to grab her life by the reins and in the end get the life she was always meant to have. This was a 6+++++++ plus star read for me. I seriously had times where I died laughing. I will never think of CB Radios the same. I had moments that literally brought me to my knees holding my breath and trying to get my Kindle to turn the page faster. I cried oh how I sobbed but in the end I smiled a big huge smile and re-lived the ride I had just taken. I would love to see Dylan & Bailey's story continued. Kudos Shey this was one helluva FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC read!!!!
